The Bay Area Restoration Council (BARC) takes the issue of privacy seriously. We respect our visitors’ right to their privacy. We collect and use information throughout our website only as disclosed in this Privacy Policy.
What information do we collect about you?
BARC does not collect any personally identifiable information from this website other than the details you submit. There are various forms on the website which you may be asked to complete in order to, for example, become a member of BARC, sign up for events, etc. (For more on how we handle this information, please click here.)
Information about a user's visit is logged in order for us to better understand how our Web site is used, however your IP address is never referenced to personally identifiable information. Usage statistics are gathered in a non-intrusive manner. The log files are private documents and are primarily used by the server administrator. Portions of the log files may be viewed by others for the purpose of server administration, security or when required by law.
Cookies
Some of our web pages may utilize cookies. A cookie allows our server to recognize you when you visit our web pages in the future so as to make your next visit more efficient and to allow us to track site usage for the purpose of making content improvements.
Online forms
BARC never exchanges, lends or sells the information you submit through the online forms to anyone! Details submitted are only available to employees managing this information or contracted service providers.
e-Bulletin
We use our e-Bulletin for communicating to individuals from whom we have received consent. If you become a member of BARC, as a benefit of joining, you are automatically signed up to receive our e-Bulletin. Should you, at any point, no longer wish to receive these emails, each message contains simple instructions on how to unsubscribe from the mailing list. Each e-Bulletin also contains a link that will allow you to login in to the email system and change the data so that you are always in control of the information you provide.
Statistics gathered from the e-Bulletin are used internally to track the effectiveness of the mailings. We will never share, sell, or rent this information to anyone.
